MG Midget (1969)
Vehicle description
First introduced in Monte-Carlo by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) on 20th May 1958 and intended as a low-cost model, the Sprite was designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company and manufactured at Abingdon, it was not surprising that the success of the design would lead to an MG version, which was known as the Midget. The new Midget was to find a ready and enthusiastic market among the dedicated MG fans, as it was a sports car with all the traditional MG characteristics - small, inexpensive, fast, and safe with predictable handling; above all, it was a fun car.
