Land Rover Range Rover 3 Door (1980)
Vehicle description
A rare automatic three-door Range Rover...As an icon of British engineering, style and function the Range Rover launched the luxury 4x4 market and needs no introduction. This important and rare automatic example was first registered on the 17th November 1980. The polished rosewood door cappings, centre cubby box and automatic transmission leads us to believe that this car may have been an "In-Vogue" Wood & Pickett Range Rover. Launched in August 1980, only 1,000 examples, all for the UK market, were produced to suit those with a need for a little more luxury. The limited "In-Vogue" range proved such a hit that the Range Rover Vogue became the flagship premium model range a few years later, only superseded by the 'Autobiography' in the mid-2000s.
