Jaguar XK 120 Roadster Quad bike (2017)
Vehicle description
Not to be confused with the normal run-of-the-mill re-bodied go-karts, these are closer to fully functioning cars with a jig-built steel box-section chassis, fully powder-coated and painted aluminium/tensile steel front stub axles. It also features aluminium front hubs and steel rear-drive shafts/rear hubs with rubber donut rear halfshaft UJs.The engine is a 110cc, air-cooled four-stroke, single cylinder quad bike engine by Loncin connected to a three speed, semi-automatic (including reverse) gearbox with no clutch and a sequential gear change. A limited slip differential is fitted to the rear with independent suspension all round and hydraulic disk brakes front and rear. In standard tune, you can reach 45mph but can be restricted for younger drivers.
The body is a GRP composite with opening bonnet and boot, the latter housing a spare wheel. The interior is vinyl trimmed with a wood-rimmed steering wheel with all brightwork and trim, aluminium/stainless steel. The Roadster comes with a fully-adjustable pedal box, suitable for drivers from the age of 10-80, even drivers over 6ft can fit. The lights and indicators work, the horn works; in fact it's better than some other full-sized versions on the market today!
